Holy Cow

I can't believe it's been like all summer since I posted...I just don't know where the time goes.

Things are good...pretty much all I've done is work. Jody too. I realized the other day I've only taken 5 days of vacation in total this year and I'm feeling a bit overdue. It all became pretty evident on Tuesday when I almost melted down on no less than five occasions. And I tumped a big filing cabinet over...but it's ok, I managed to catch it with my wrist. Filing cabinet is fine, wrist is questionable. After talking to Sara (4th year med student and former ER nurse practitioner), she says it sounds like I probably chipped a bone. Great. If it still hurts on Monday, I'm to go get xrays. The way it feels tonight, I may go get xrays tomorrow. '

So I have 11 days of vacation left to take before the end of the year. And I have to say, spending a week or two away from that place is sounding really good right now.

Oh, I am so happy that fall tv is starting (isn't that sad?)...is it wrong that I'm kind of crushing on Gordon Ramsey?

What else new and exciting has happened? Let's see.

I hostessed a Premier Designs jewelry party for my friend Shawn...and we set a record...$1,589 in jewelry sold...and I got 30% of that in free jewelry. Works for me.

Zoe got a new jacket so she won't be cold this winter:

We (or rather I) repainted most of the interior of the house...I did the laundry room, kitchen, living room, dining room, entry, hall, front bath, and master bedroom. And then I decided I hadn't had enough painting and I started helping my mom paint my grandmother's house, which was all done in oil based paint so it all has to be kilzed before we can use latex. I am the best daughter. On the other hand, mom kind of got high on the Kilz, which was pretty funny, because she had no idea. So if you run into Mel, you must ask her if she's huffed any good paint lately.

We also got some new furniture. We had to have a new mattress. I LOVE our new mattress. It's a Sealy Posturpedic with a super fluffy extreme euro pillowtop. It's kind of hard to get me out of bed these days.

What else...my cousin Jeff is going to be on a tv show. I'm hesitant to mention this and I'm pretty sure I won't say anything to 98% of my co-workers, but Jeff is going to be a contestant on the new Lifetime reality show "America's Psychic Challenge." You can't make this stuff up. It's supposed to premier on October 12, which is also Jeffie's birthday.

Guess that's about it...have I mentioned how happy I am about fall tv? :)

Look forward to my next quarterly installment sometime around the end of the year....
